Into All The World is the biographhy of a missionary, a man who has travelled the world seeking to spread the word of God. The book delivers what it promises to do in its blurb, with a consistent and passionate stress on Christianity. However, the emphasis on Christianity could be intimidating to those who might not empathise with the narrative or belief.
Whilst other religions are acknowledged within the text they are not discussed in great depth, and some are excluded from the index, which makes the content appear biased towards the Christian faith. Although this publication seems to be targeted at those concerned with Christianity, it could also be an inspiring read for those interested in aspects of post-colonialism.
Despite this book being well written and easy to read, the use of the first person can become repetitive. Furthermore, the detailed descriptions and telling of events can at times be dry to read; this could have been improved by including more dialogue to animate incidents.
It is appropriately priced at £14.95 considering that it is a hardback book, well-informed, educational and is generally good in quality. The font size is suitable for a prolonged reading session. The pictures are easy to follow and are clear. However, potential readers could be helped if the book’s genre had been stated on the back cover.
